Is this... ah, there we are. [ The video turns on to reveal a very frazzled-looking young lady with purple hair. ] Can anypony hear me? Twilight, Rainbow Dash? Rainbow, if this is one of your and Pinkie's pranks, you've gone too far this time! It's bad enough I'm some sort of monkey, but this!

[ She displays her bare forehead. ]

This is the absolute limit!! How am I supposed to be a unicorn without a horn? Can I even call myself a unicorn, anymore? Shall I forever and henceforth be known as Rarity the nonicorn? Is that even a word?

Will somepony please tell me what is going on??

[Spike recognises that voice anywhere, and drops everything. The feed clicks on to an absolutely overjoyed Spike.]

Rarity! You made it! It's me, Spike!

[Just in case Rarity doesn't recognise him, since he's not his usual handsome dragon self]

[ She peers at the little fellow with green hair and an unmistakable voice. ] Spikey-Wikey? Is that really you?

[Spike totally understands how Rarity is feeling. He only hopes that she doesn't have a pokemon with a grudge as her starter. He puffs up his chest a bit, and blushes slightly at the nickname.]

Yup, sure is! I look ridiculous now without my tail and stuff though. But apparently it's normal here. [Spike shrugs]

Twilight can probably explain it better.

[He examines her with a concerned look]

You're not hurt or anything, are you?

How should I know?! My knees are bent the wrong way! [ She gives one an experimental swing, and winces when she expects it to go farther forward than it does. ]

And don't talk nonsense, Spike, you look quite dashing on two legs. Just... different, is all. [ She's still inspecting her knee. ] Nothing hurts, so I think I'm all right. Just ... confused! How on earth are we both apes?

[Spike coughs to cover up his embarrassment a little]

Aw...gee Rarity...you still look like the prettiest pony, even as a human.[He clears his throat, and then puts on a confident smile, changing the topic rapidly.]

Don't worry, you'll get used to it - walking on two legs is a piece of cake! You just need some practice.

[Spike scratches his head with one hand]

Well, you see, we got transported to this weird world, where we got turned into these human animals because everyone here is a human and THEN we get given these companions called Pokemon, which we're supposed to look after and stuff...and um...yeah...

[Spike trails off, realising that he really has no idea either, despite being here a week.]

Seriously, I have no idea.

[the girl is greeted by a glowering middle-aged man with a prominent black eye. Blake is not in a real good mood.]

I can recall a gentle one that had an affinity for animals, a brash and bossy rainbow one, and ...a normal one. Or, as far as normal as your types can get.

Anyways, you're in Johto. You are given a pokémon, or an animal companion that is used for fighting or breeding, that usually reflects an aspect of your personality, either positively or negatively by giving you the opposite of what you would want. I'll be happy to answer any additional questions.

[It takes a couple moments for her to shift out of "bug-eyed" look. She'd probably be less surprised if Spike and Cadence hadn't just shown up a few days ago.]

[She's rushing to get her Pokeballs now, but still talking.]

First things first, the body you're in right now is something called a "human". They're the dominant species of this world, so everypony who arrives here is turned into one. We... just kind of have to live with it.

(She blinks and just watches, slightly amused by her friend's 'overdramatizing' since she hadn't seen it in quite a while.)

Hahaha, if it's one of mine and Pinkie's pranks it's been pulled on everypony from home 'cause we're all like that! It's me - Rainbow Dash! (See her multicolored locks? They should look familiar even if nothing else does.)

Anyway, we're humans now...yeah, we don't have our horns or wings and stuff but you'll be able to deal after being here a while. And you're in Johto! Is there any small little guys near you who says his own name?

[And there's that familiar voice. Pinkie grins happily tossing her gear up in the air a couple times. Hope you don't get motion sickness Rarity.]

[Then the mention of pranks.Oops.]

Oh-no Rarity, it wasn't us. That would be too mean! We wouldn't take your horn away without your permission unless unicorns could take them off!

Rarity the anypony has no sort of ring to it at all. It doesn't even describe what I am! Are you saying I'm a blank slate?

Well, even if my horn is taken from me, I can still retain the spirit of one. And there's nothing from stopping me from being a lady! ... Not yet, anyway.

Ah... what are those noises?

[ She nods. ] Yes... a couple of them have contacted me now. Are you saying Fluttershy was here as well? She would be the gentle one. Perhaps with pink hair.

And I don't see how this thing is supposed to reflect my personality. [ She swivels the camera around to reveal a Petilil sitting and crooning. ]

Twilight? Not you, too! I've already seen poor cute little Spike turned into one of these dreadful apes. And everypony has to live as one? That just seems so barbaric!

A while? Exactly how long have you been here, Rainbow? [ Will she ever get used to seeing her with a smaller snout like this? ]

You mean this little dear? [ The camera focuses on a dangerous Petilil who is sitting patiently and looking up at you. ] I thought "Petilil" was its mother, taken away from it by horrible circumstance.

Ahh! [ Rarity gets a little dizzy at the image, but when it straightens out to show a pink-haired human, her identity is unmistakable. ] Pinkie?? Are you here too? It looks like most everypony came along.

Anyway, I wouldn't put it past either of you! Not if you thought you could undo it, anyway. Do you suppose we can find our horns and wings again?

Maybe for you this is easier, Spike. You walk on two legs most of the time, after all! I'm still figuring out how! [ She wobbles. Why is she standing up? Bad idea. She finds a nearby bench to sit on instead. ]

We're... hue-mans now? And... Pokemon? [ She looks over at the obliging Petilil. ] Well, I can't see how the little dear could give much trouble, at least.

Uh...about 4 months by now, I'd guess. (Rainbow has, but it takes her a while to get used to seeing her friends once they've appeared at least one time.)

Yeah, that little one! So you're a trainer too! That's great Rarity, but I don't think we'll be finding his mom anytime soon. I think he thinks you're mom now.

(Now there's a very familiar somepony.)

It's weird not having your horn, but I know you can adjust, Rarity. Besides, your hair still looks lovely!

[ The Petilil bumps up against her and croons again. Rarity's heart absolutely melts. ]

... Well, I suppose I could. [ She brings the Petilil up to rest on her shoulder. ] I'm supposed to train ... her? [ Seems like a her. ] For what?

[ She inspects her coiffure in the reflection of the video screen. ] You're ever so kind, miss... [ hold on. ] You sound familiar. Have we met?

Haha, to be the best! (Unless being a breeder's more your thing; now that Rainbow thinks about it, perhaps that's the best route -so to speak- for Rarity to go.) Or just so no one else can beat them senseless in battles. You should see how many of my Pokemon think I'm their mom!

(A beat.) ...How much do you know about Johto anyway?

Hmm, I dunno. Twilight and Dash have been here longer than me without them. This place is really weird! The only thing it left me was my mane and my cutie mark.

[wow. HAHA good thing tiny boy child doesn't watch tv shows for tiny girl children.]

...Why do you have to be 'the' anything? Why can't you just be Rarity? I think that's a pretty name!
