Is this... ah, there we are. [ The video turns on to reveal a very frazzled-looking young lady with purple hair. ] Can anypony hear me? Twilight, Rainbow Dash? Rainbow, if this is one of your and Pinkie's pranks, you've gone too far this time! It's bad enough I'm some sort of monkey, but this!

[ She displays her bare forehead. ]

This is the absolute limit!! How am I supposed to be a unicorn without a horn? Can I even call myself a unicorn, anymore? Shall I forever and henceforth be known as Rarity the nonicorn? Is that even a word?

Will somepony please tell me what is going on??

Has it fainted? Don't get too close to it! It might be mad! Watch out for teeth coz they hurt!

[Spike the overprotective dragon calms down a little when he sees it's not moving. He sighs in relief.]

That was lucky! Bell is pretty strong...

Oh I know! If you point this at the one that attacked you, [he taps the gear] and hit the button that says pokedex, it will tell you what it is. Cool huh?

Bell! Bell, come back here! Don't hurt yourself! [ The Petilil returns to her master and croons. ] Did you take him out all by yourself? Well done, my dear!

[ She fumbles with the little machine with her inexperienced fingers and manages to find and activate the Pokedex function. A robotic voice says PIDGEY. ]

Isn't that some kind of bird? [Spike tries to peer through the screen but can't quite see it.]

You could catch it? The first wild pokemon I ran into exploded on me, and I sort of caught it by mistake coz it was really badly hurt and needed to be healed.

[A moment while Spike rummages around looking for a pokeball, and then finally holds one up]

You just sort of...throw this thing at it.

It is, yes. Quite the feisty one, too, I would say. [ She looks in her pack and finds one of the little items Spike's holding. ]

I just ... throw it at it? It won't hurt it? Well, if you say so... [ She tosses the ball and it captures the Pidgey in no time flat. She examines it. ] But how does it fit in there? This sort of magic is beyond me. [ She picks it up and flips it over a few times. ]

You sound pretty knowledgeable about all of this, Spikey! Have you been here long?

Nice work! But yeah...I have no idea. [He shrugs] The magic here is way different to back in Equestria.

I've only been here a couple weeks - Twilight and Applejack have been here for ages though.

But I'm sure it'll be fine. Besides, Fluttershy isn't here anymore, so she should be back in Ponyville. I'm sure she'll make sure nothing happens to your boutique.

It's just ah...getting used to all the pokemon takes some time...

As long as somepony is looking after it that isn't Sweetie Belle. That filly destroys almost everything she touches!

I expect you get used to the music, as well? [ She shakes her head to one side as if to dislodge something from it. The incessant melody is starting to get on her nerves. ]

Maybe this will give her a chance to prove herself, you know, show you that she can take care of things on her own?

[Spike mentally tunes into the music again and makes a face.]

Yeah, you learn to sort of...block it out? It's everywhere, even at night when you're trying to sleep, when you walk into the shops. Sometimes it changes, depending on where you are. It's really weird. No one seems to know where it even comes from.

[ Rarity blanches at the concept. ] Good heavens. No, that filly had better not go anywhere near my things. Not without proper supervision!

I suppose it's no worse than Pinkie Pie's songs. If she sang all of the time. Every day. [ Now that she thinks about it, it's starting to grate. And thinking about it just makes it worse. ]
