All right, whoever is listening. I have done absolutely everything in my power to make the best of a difficult situation, but even I have my limits. So I'd like a good old fashioned group brainstorm, if you please. The situation could not be more dire.

[ She turns the camera around to reveal... a fish. Sitting in a tank. Not a particularly big fish, but... sweet Celestia, if this isn't one of the ugliest damn things you've ever seen.

The tank itself is your basic bowl shape, but it's got all manner of plants and tiny dwellings inside. Sitting next to the tank are some sopping wet miniature clothes that look like at least some decent effort have been put into them. ]

This little darling is in desperate need of a makeover, and... well, I'm afraid I'm at a bit of a loss. Has anypony got any ideas for how to make him look absolutely ravishing? Or... well, at least suitably impressive! ... For a fish.

That... could work out rather nicely, though it'll be difficult to keep around while training. Still, I suppose it's worth a shot.

[ She's puzzled. ] However do you mean? That's what we have a wagon and bags for. I certainly don't intend to leave Hans and his tank in one place forever.

I meant for battling and physical training and the like. Granted, I'm not quite sure how effective that would be, given his general constitution-but if nothing else, it could help keep him in shape.

Well, I might just be able to make the background mobile with him if it helps improve his mood! It could be a great boon to his fighting style -- if he wants to, of course. He seems so harmless!

Well, you can never be too certain. Names that translate to things like "princess" are about as common as muck in my world.

I can't imagine your world is so full of glamorous and elaborate names like yours, dear!

Well, I can at least say that isn't the case. I've seen similar in passing, though nothing quite the same.

You must have the most exciting languages and cultures over there! So blase!

Oh, of course-though I'm sure the same could be said of your world. I never would have imagined a world where the dominant sapient species is equine in nature, and the fact that magic is so commonplace... well, I have to say I'm a bit envious of that end of it.

I do so miss my horn. But I've found some barely adequate substitutes for the most basic of tasks. Human hands, for example, are fractionally more dextrous than hooves. However, I haven't yet encountered a reliable manner of detecting gems.

Fractionally...? -My apologies, but I have difficulty imagining a being that can achieve dexterity without opposable thumbs, much less no fingers at all.

Anyway... well, I'm sure there's some Pokemon that can do it, given that they're employed for practically everything else here.

Yes, I suppose I'd have to see it for myself to understand... well, that's one question answered, at least.
